The Veteran Services Center (VSC) provides multi-faceted support for veteran and military-affiliated students, from admission through graduation, to facilitate the achievement of academic and career goals. VSC's goals are to:
- Foster community among students during their transition to campus and civilian life.
- Honor contributions of military service members and recognize their academic achievement.
- Connect students to the resources, services and programs they need to be successful at UT Dallas and beyond.
- Inform/educate the campus and area community about the military via programs, services and events.
Military-affiliated students include veterans, current military service members, military spouses and dependents, and ROTC cadets.

Community Advisory Council
The VSC Community Advisory Council supports UT Dallas' outreach to student veterans. Members include corporate partners, industry professionals and community leaders dedicated to investing in the development of student veterans.
Connect-A-Vet to UT Dallas is an opportunity for staff and prospective student veterans from Dallas/Fort Worth area community colleges to meet the student veteran community at UT Dallas and learn more about the University from VSC staff. Contact email@example.com to RSVP.
Students graduating from UT Dallas who serve or have served in the U.S. military are invited to wear a special red, white and blue honor cord at fall and spring commencements in recognition of their service to our country. Contact the VSC for more information.
The Green Zone program aims to establish a University-wide network of staff and faculty who will shape a military-friendly campus culture. Classes are offered periodically by the VSC.
Military Career Fair
Military recruiters and ROTC representatives provide information and answer questions about military career options and college scholarships.
The VSC hosts an open house to welcome back students at the beginning of the school year. Similarly, a welcome lunch is held at the beginning of the spring semester.
Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) is a peer support program that connects new student vets with current student vets.
UT Dallas students have the option to join the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) programs hosted at neighboring universities.

Active or former U.S. military personnel and their guests are admitted free to all UT Dallas regular season home athletic events. Pick up your Veterans Sport Pass at the VSC, and check athletic schedules at cometsports.utdallas.edu.
During transfer orientation, veterans and military-affiliated students can participate in a "Veteran Breakout Session." Students will tour the Veteran Services Center, learn about VSC programs, and meet VA/Hazlewood coordinators.
UT Dallas recognizes Veterans Day by hosting a campus event. In addition, Raytheon sponsors a reception to recognize the contribution of student veterans.

Veterans of UT Dallas
Veterans of UT Dallas is the University's chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA). They meet at the VSC and focus on professional development, community service and social functions.
