MVPN - Veterans Resource Coordination Group (VRCG)

 

We are pleased to announce this grant has been renewed. VetStar will start taking applications beginning July 1st, 2016.

Housing4TexasHeroes provides grants to non-profit or local organizations to address home modification needs of Low-Income, Very Low-Income and Disabled Texas veterans and their families.  Such needs include, but are not limited to, the following: walkways, ramps, doors, windows, and flooring materials; sliding doors; handrails and grab bars; bathroom modifications; and weatherization. 

Who Qualifies?

Any honorably discharged veteran, their spouse, or un-remarried widow(er) who is low-income OR has a service-connected disability.

What Does It Cover?

Our goal is to provide modifications that are medically necessary or address problems that are critical to safety & comfort with aging in place.

What Does It Cost?

Nothing.  You earned it with your honorable service to our great nation, or that of your spouse.

Supportive Services for Veterans Families 

Supportive Services for Veteran Families, also known as SSVF, is a VA-funded program that prevents homelessness by helping qualified veterans and their families successfully transition to and maintain permanent housing. 

VetStar's SSVF program covers the following counties: Bailey, Borden, Cochran, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Kent, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motle
