Art Institute of Austin

The mission of The Art Institute of Austin is to provide a quality, collaborative academic environment for individuals seeking creative careers through higher education. Bachelor’s and associate’s degree programs are competency based, incorporating traditional liberal arts and hands-on instruction. Faculty use learning-centered methodology that prepares students for career entry in the design and visual arts fields as well as continued professional development. The Art Institute of Austin is a branch of The Art Institute of Houston and part of The Art Institutes system of schools, America's Leader In Creative Education. We are located in Austin, Texas, the state capital and fourth-largest city in the state. Our students are able to do imaginative thinking and studying in a city known for its creativity and originality. U.S. Military Education Benefits: Yellow Ribbon You Protected Our Future - Now Pursue Yours The Yellow Ribbon Program allows institutions of higher learning to assist with tuition costs exceeding the GI Bill's current maximum benefit rate, based on the highest public in-state undergraduate tuition rate in the applicable state. As a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program, The Art Institute of Austin will be able to voluntarily provide tuition assistance to veterans to help offset all or some of the education costs. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will also match the amount contributed by The Art Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston. The program provides funding to veterans who have served at least 36 months of active duty following September 10, 2001; veterans who were honorably discharged from active duty for a service-related disability and who served 30 continuous days following September 10, 2001; and dependents eligible for Transfer of Entitlement under the Post-9/11 GI Bill based on a veteran's service under one of the first two criteria. Financial Aid: The Art Institutes Military Discount You and your family have worked hard to protect our nation. That is why The Art Institutes system of schools is so proud to offer our service men and women a special tuition discount and fee waiver program. If your VA benefit (including Chapter 33) does not cover your tuition costs and you are on active duty, in the National Guard, or are an eligible spouse, The Art Institutes will discount your scheduled tuition by 10% as well as waving all application and registration fees.
