At the Veterans One Stop, Vets can visit with other Vets, participate with peer to peer mentors, receive information regarding Veteran benefits and claims assistance, and much more.
The Veteran One Stop opened in January 2013 to provide a central location where anyone who has served our country in uniform – and their families – may seek and receive help for a variety of needs.
This collaborative community resource center is designed to assist military families with issues ranging from pensions and benefits, employment and education, social services and mental health needs, housing and legal matters and more… all in a warm, safe and inviting atmosphere.
Trained veterans volunteers will help other veterans find the right people at the right agencies in a way that is informed by first-hand knowledge and experience: by veterans, for veterans.
This comfortable building is FREE for Veterans and their families, as well as for Veteran-serving agencies.
Sponsored by MHMR. Activities in the Veterans One Stop are supported by the Veterans Coalition for the Heart of Texas, a grassroots volunteer effort to create a clearinghouse of Veterans' related resources that can improve the quality of life for Veterans.
See the attached flier (below) for complete information about this drop-in resource center.
